AS A TRIBUTE
in honor of the young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
and his longest foreign tour, the
TOURNÉE 1766 SUISSE,
we developed the
MOZART CHÜGELI ®.
The longest and greatest international concert and educational tour in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's life took him, as a 10-year-old child in late summer and autumn 1766, through Switzerland, which he crossed with his family in a horse-drawn carriage.
After a three-and-a-half-year concert tour through Western Europe, the Mozart family arrived in Geneva from Lyon around August 20th. Wolfgang Amadeus was accompanied by his parents Leopold and Anna Maria, his equally musical sister "Nannerl," a servant, and a coachman. The family continued their journey on October 16th, traveling via Schaffhausen to Donaueschingen. In Geneva, Lausanne, Bern, Zurich, and Schaffhausen, the Mozarts performed to enthusiastic audiences.
